Extraordinary ministers of communion assist the priest with the distribution of the Eucharist. Training will be provided. To serve as an Eucharistic minister, an individual must be baptized and a confirmed member of the Catholic Church, a registered member of the Assumption of the BVM and living a life in harmony with the teachings of the Catholic Church (ie if a person is married, they must be validly married in the Catholic Church) Those parishioners who are able and willing to do so may also be asked, to carry the Eucharist to homebound members of our parish.
